Watervale is a small sub region at the southern end of the Clare Valley. A region that is recognized for producing some of the finest Rieslings in the country and arguably in the world.
Produced from 100% Riesling fruit, grown in the heart of Watervale at an altitude of 500 metres.
The vines are in excess of 35 years of age with one of the blocks being planted in 1926 – arguably one of the oldest Riesling vineyards in the district.
The fruit was hand picked and produced with the latest technology available, resulting in a classic, dry, aromatic style.
The 2012 Rieslings from Watervale are recognized as the best for a decade. A classic year
Excellent bright green colour. The nose displays pristine Riesling fruit of limes and exotic spices, whilst the palate is elegant, fresh with beautiful clean lime juice flavours with great texture and length, finishing with a tight dry minerality
